If you are a Windows user, then you might have found yourself locked out of your computer. This can be a scary experience, but don’t worry! We have some tips to help you get back into your computer as soon as possible.

If you’re a Windows user, and your computer has been locked out of the screen and you can’t get back in, here are some things to try:

  • Reboot the computer. This will cause all programs to start again from scratch and clear any temporary files that may have been created while running a program.
  • Restart from Safe Mode by pressing F8 when prompted during startup (usually when you first turn on your computer). This will allow you to access all of your important files without having to worry about viruses or other security threats. You can then use this method until the issue with your password resets itself automatically after several minutes or hours of trying different combinations until it works!

The first thing to do is to reboot the computer.

  • Reboot the computer and try to log in again.
  • If you are still locked out, try the next step:

Start in Safe Mode.

If you’ve tried everything and your computer is still locked up, it’s time to restart in safe mode. Safe mode will allow you to log into your computer without the same problems that caused your lockup.

  • To start in safe mode:
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Del at the same time (or click Start > Shut Down > Restart).
  • When Microsoft Windows appears onscreen, press F8 repeatedly until Safe Mode appears as an option on-screen or choose it from the list of startup options if it doesn’t appear automatically.

Remove any password changes you have made before being locked out.

If you are locked out of your computer, the most likely reason is that you have changed the password on your account. This can be done in two ways:

  • Create a new password for your account and then change it back to its original setting.
  • Changing the current password if it’s old and weak.

Reset your password using a password reset disk if you have one.

If you don’t have a password reset disk, you can create one by following these steps:

  • Boot from the Windows 10 installation media that came with your computer or download it from Microsoft’s public website.
  • Select Troubleshoot > General > Reset this PC (also known as Refresh Your PC).
  • Click Next on the Welcome screen to begin the process of resetting your password and other settings based on how much information you want to provide to Microsoft when signing up for an account under their terms of service agreement.
  • Follow any additional prompts until prompted to enter a new password (or confirm an existing one), then click Next again and wait while it completes its work before rebooting into Windows 10 again

Reboot and use a password reset disk if you have one.

If you’re using a password reset disk, reboot your computer and then try to log in. If it doesn’t work, use the reset disk to set up a new password for your account.
